Learning 4 Life

Learning 4 Life was developed over ten years ago to address the fact that the majority of our service users had not engaged in mainstream education. They were simply disengaged from learning.

Learning 4 Life is our own alternative, pre-vocational learning programme. It provides stimulating learning opportunities in a variety of friendly, supportive environments. It helps enhance self-esteem and develops positive skills and talents which assist people in moving towards a more confident and independent future.

The skills to go forward

Learning 4 Life workers identify training needs and deliver basic skills training and outreach services (including Open College Network and National Open College Network accreditation). In addition to working with Llamau service users, the programme takes referrals from other agencies, such as Careers Wales, Extended Youth Gateway, Social Services and the Youth Offending Service.

Learning 4 Life also focuses on developing young people’s employability, developing the skills and attitudes necessary to take the next step.

“The biggest achievement is feeling ready to move on.”

“I will have 5 OCNs to my name, and have gained so much from L4L.”

“L4L has made a huge difference in my life… now I want to be a good parent for my children.”

“Llamau always provides excellent advice, guidance and support for both our staff and our clients. It helps young people overcome barriers that prevent them from progressing in life. Llamau staff always go that extra mile to help young people succeed.”
