EYH Cymru Campaign

Every year, more than 7,000 young people under the age of 25 in Wales ask for help with homelessness. This is in addition to the many more who don’t know where to turn or ask for help.

We believe that no young person should have to experience homelessness.

With your support, we can End Youth Homelessness in Wales for good.

End Youth Homelessness Cymru is funded by Sir Halley Stewart Trust, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Welsh Government.

Picture this. It's getting dark. Offices are shut. The streets are getting quieter. You're 16 and today you were thrown out by your parents. You've phoned your friends but they don't have anywhere you can sleep. You're alone and don't know where to go.

Terrifying, isn't it? Imagine this happening to someone you know. Each year thousands of young people in Wales face this harsh reality.

We want to change that. Imagine if that young person knew there was a free number they could call to get help and advice to find somewhere safe to stay that night. Imagine how much safer they'd feel. Imagine how much safer they'd be.

The young people we work with told us that they hadn't known where to go to get information or support when they first became homeless. That's why we've launched an appeal to fund an out-of-hours youth homeless helpline right here in Wales. Young people don't find themselves homeless during the convenience of office hours and we want to make sure they can get help and support whenever they need it.
