An exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to lead Llamau’s Young Person’s Advisor team in Merthyr, supporting and safeguarding children & young people with a complex mix of needs, and supported lodgings providers. You will support the team to support young people through planning for the end of their care experience, and to build their independent living skills. You will also work closely alongside other agencies supporting the young person, including Children’s Services, Homelessness & Housing, other statutory and other support agencies.

Hours: 22.5 hours a week. Mainly Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5pm (days negotiable), however flexibility is required to work outside of these hours to support, supervise & work alongside all members of the team. There may also be a requirement to provide cover for direct support to young people, due to staff absences.

Projects Managers take part in the On Call rota (1 week in 5). Providing On Call support and advice for project teams, with issues and emergencies they may need to deal with. This may require providing some shift cover / out of hours project attendance where alternatives are not possible.
