Have you ever considered  joining Llamau as an experienced Support Worker, working full time or part time hours with our young people or women within supported housing?

As a Support Worker, you could be working in anyone of our teams: Young People’s Services, Women’s Services or Domestic Abuse Services. You would receive a thorough induction into the service / project where you would be working as well as in house training, tailored to the service where you would be working.

Your role would involve:

  1. Engaging with young people or women, at every opportunity, in order to build trusting and respectful relationships with them. Getting to know the individual, their strengths and challenges, and how the whole team can support them most effectively.
  2. Providing support flexibly, to ensure maximum chance of each individual engaging in the support available. E.g. offer to support them when they are at the project and interacting with you, rather than expecting them to stick rigidly to an appointment time.
  3. Engaging with, and supporting the people we support in working towards and achieving goals identified in their support plans or sessions, understanding the impact of previous trauma and providing support in a psychologically informed way.
  4. Working in partnership with the Support Assistants & Night Workers to ensure completion of all tasks identified in young people’s and women's support plans, ensuring a consistent ‘whole team’ approach to this.

Hours: Full time is 35 hours plus on call (part time hours are also available)

Salary: £20,858.00 per annum (Part time hours would be pro rata)

We are looking to recruit flexible, resilient, enthusiastic team players across all or our services who can engage with those we support, enabling them to achieve their goals.

If you feel you can show flexibility and are committed to making a difference we would like to hear from you.

We are particularly keen to hear from you if you are able to work in the Vale of Glamorgan area.
