“We’re growing.  If you are committed to our values, we would love to consider your application to join the Llamau family.”

Have you ever considered  joining Llamau as a Support Assistant? As a Support Assistant, you would be working in anyone of our teams: Young People’s Services, Women’s Services or Domestic Abuse Services. You would receive a thorough induction into the service / project where you would be working as well as in house training, tailored to the service where you would be working.

Your role would involve:

  1. Engaging with those we support, at every opportunity, in order to build trusting and respectful relationships with them. Get to know the individual, their strengths and challenges, and how the whole team can support them most effectively.

  2. Providing support flexibly to ensure maximum chance of each individual engaging in the support available. E.g. offer to support them when they are at the project and interacting with you, rather than expecting them to stick rigidly to an appointment time.

We are looking to recruit flexible, resilient, enthusiastic team players who can engage with those we support, enabling them to achieve their goals.

Normal hours of work:

2-day shifts 9.30-5pm and 2-night shift 4.45pm-9.45am per week plus flexibility to attend supervision, team meetings, cross over and training, a total of 47 hours per week.

The salary of £19,620 per annum for a Support Assistant is derived as;

A Day Shift  (9.30 – 17.00) is 7 hours paid plus a half hour unpaid break. This is paid at £62.26 per shift

A night Shift (16.45 – 09.45) is split as follows;

16.45 – 23.00       6.25 hour paid

23.00 – 23.30       0.5 hour unpaid break (the time can be flexible on this)

23.30 – 08.00       Sleep in Element

08.00 – 09.45       1.75 hour paid

The shift is paid as £125.53. Should there be a disrupted night, an additional payment is made to convert the sleep in element to waking hours.

Part time - 1 day shift 9.30-5pm and  1 night shift 4.45pm-9.45am per week (Salary £9,810.00 per annum)

If you feel you can show flexibility and are committed to making a difference we would like to hear from you.
