They've just helped me. They've made me more confident and made me realise that I can do it.

Do you want to learn new skills, build your qualifications and get paid work experience?

Symud Ymlaen Moving Forward works alongside Learning 4 Life to help young people gain access to employment and training, through 16 to 26 week paid work placements.

So far, we have matched young people with work placements across a huge range of sectors including animal care, construction, leisure and hospitality, parks and garden, catering and many more.

Who can get support through Symud Ymlaen Moving Forward?

Symud Ymlaen Moving Forward is available for any young person who is known to and supported by Social Services, and any young person who is known to youth justice.

How does it work?

There are two stages to Symud Ymlaen Moving Forward.

Stage 1: You will be given pre-employability support, delivered in Learning 4 Life, to build your skills ahead of a 16 or 26 week paid work placement.

Stage 2: An Employment Liaison Officer will then help you to source a work placement, and provide you with ongoing support to help you get the most out of your placement.

Our team of Employment Liaison Offices are there to provide structured, regular support throughout your placement.
