Due to expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established support team within Llamau. The post, based in Newport, will provide a high level of housing related support to young people living in a 4 bedroom shared house.

You will be required to help the young people build on their strengths and help them to identify goals to work towards them being able to live independently and becoming integral parts within the community in which they chose to live.

You will need to be confident enough to deliver a high quality service, while ensuring safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of service delivery. Experience of liaising with social services, health, education and benefit agencies is essential.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours (Full Time)

Mainly Monday to Friday 9 – 5pm, however flexibility is required to work outside of these hours to provide support to people whose employment / training / caring commitments mean they need appointments outside of these hours, also to deal with urgent issues.

Support Workers take part in the On Call rota. Providing On Call support and advice for those supported to deal with emergencies 24/7. This may require attending to provide emergency support ‘out of hours’.

Salary: £20,858.00 per annum
