An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established support provider Llamau, to work in a new Young persons 24 HR staffed project. You will be working with Young People to develop their understanding of the rights and responsibilities of being a tenant and a good neighbour, and to build their skills to be able to do this. You will work closely with other agencies supporting the young person, including Social Services, education and YOS.

You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the people we support , and as such some evening and weekend work will be required, as well as taking part in the on call rota.

Location: Newport

Salary: £20,858 per annum (pro rata)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week. (Full Time 35 hours and Part Time 24.5 hours)

Mainly Monday to Friday 9 – 5pm, however flexibility is required to work outside of these hours to provide support to people whose employment / training / caring commitments mean they need appointments outside of these hours, also to deal with urgent issues.

Support Workers take part in the On Call rota. Providing On Call support and advice for those supported to deal with emergencies 24/7. This may require attending to provide emergency support ‘out of hours’.
