Chair of Trustees - Wendy Richards

Wendy is an Associate at Atkins, one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies where the Atkins core business is helping clients to plan, design and enable major capital programmes. Wendy's 30 years' experience has seen her undertaking a range of work from community consultation workshops with tenants for Registered Social Landlords to delivering strategic land allocations for volume house builders. Wendy is also currently a front of house volunteer at the Architecture Centre in Bristol.

Vice Chair - David Blair

David has worked extensively across the public service within Wales with key roles in the Welsh Government, the National Assembly and the Third Sector. Within Government, work areas have included deprivation, social exclusion and, most recently, domestic abuse where David led the 10,000 Safer Lives programme. In the Third Sector, David led The Prince’s Trust-Cymru operation in South East Wales creating strong local partnerships.

Vice Chair - Pete Mackie

Pete is a Lecturer in Housing at Cardiff University and has been a board member at Llamau since 2009. Pete has a particular research interest in the housing experiences and pathways of vulnerable people.  Pete has particularly focused his research on youth housing and homelessness, a field in which he has sought to understand the experiences of young people from their perspectives. Most recently Peter led on the review of homelessness legislation in Wales. 

Treasurer - Carol Ravenscroft

Carol is currently the Director of Finance at Drive, a charity providing care and support for people with learning disabilities. Previously she was Senior Finance Manager with the Welsh Funding Councils/ELWa that had responsibility for funding Further and Higher Education in Wales. Committed to Llamau’s ethos and values, Carol joined Llamau’s board in 2005. 

Daniel Lewis

Daniel has been a trustee with Llamau since 2011. Daniel has worked in Housing in both England and Wales across traditional and stock transfer housing associations. Daniel has experience in front line housing management, governance, business planning, performance management and improvement.

Sheila O'Brien

Sheila has over 20 years’ experience in education as a Primary School teacher, School Senior Manager and for the local authority advisory service. She was Regional Director (Wales) for the Basic Skills Agency and was responsible for supporting the development of a wide range of innovative projects, including the development of Llamau’s Learning 4 Life project. Sheila has taken early retirement, but remains passionate about every individual’s entitlement to have the literacy and numeracy skills necessary to function in society and fulfill their potential. 

Grenville Holmes

Grenville is a retired Biomedical Scientist who worked for the Public Health Laboratory Service. He spent 10 years as a Citizens Advice Bureau Advisor and Supervisor with a special interest in youth homelessness. Gren’s passion is to help develop and spread practical models for the prevention and alleviation of homelessness and support for victims of domestic abuse. He has been a Trustee of Llamau since 2001.

Tom Breed 

Tom Breed is a qualified chartered accountant and is Financial Director at Capital Law. Previously he was Financial Planning & Treasury Manager for Clarion Events Limited. Prior to that, he worked at a metal trading company in the City of London. Tom qualified as a chartered accountant with Bright Grahame Murray and has a BA from the University of Birmingham.

Angela Gascoigne

Angela has 25 years experience as an executive and non-executive director in the not for profit sector.  Since leaving Somer Community Housing Trust where she was Managing Director for just over 3 years, Angela has worked with organisations to develop leaders and introduce innovation with a focus on strategic collaboration to maximise opportunities and resources to overcome the significant challenges faced by the most disadvantaged individuals and communities.
