Sam Thomas - IRIS Project Manager

Hi, I'm Sam Thomas, the Project Manager for the IRIS service and the Advocate Educator for Blaenau Gwent East.

I have been working within the domestic abuse sector for around 8 years. In that time, I have worked across a number of roles, including Refuge Worker to Group Facilitator. I've also worked as an IDVA supporting men and the LGBTQ+ community.

I am passionate about providing support to victims and survivors of domestic abuse, and now educating those who have the opportunity to identify and support victims of domestic abuse. Often, clinicians are the first opportunity for victims and survivors to disclose domestic abuse, so with this project, we want to ensure that every clinician will feel confident in identifying and referring those who need support.
