Homeless children deserve an education

As most children are excited about going back to school, many of the children Llamau supports are terrified. Can you imagine the fear you would feel getting ready for school without a safe place to call home? The hopelessness you would feel knowing your school dinner might be the only meal you have that day. Or maybe not being able to attend school at all because you have no one to support you. This is the harsh reality for many homeless children in Wales.

Llamau provides 6-month intensive training to children who have been failed by the system. Our tutors understand that no two individuals learn in the same way and can identify the needs, the barriers and the potential that young people have, ensuring that they are working through the right programme at their own pace, building confidence as they go. These services cannot continue without your support. 

 Last year, over 300 qualifications were awarded to homeless young people in Llamau's tailored education programmes.
