Domestic abuse is one of the biggest causes of homelessness for women. It is estimated that around 40% of homeless women become homeless because they had left an abusive relationship. 

Last year we helped over 5,000 women, children and young people through our wide range of Domestic Abuse Services across Wales.

With help from our generous supporters, we're able to run services that help people like Natasha, who suffered horrific abuse at the hands of her ex-partner.

“He’d say he’d kill me if I ever left. He scared me into staying. The only person I ever had was him.”

Natasha's story is not an isolated incident. It serves as a chilling reminder that domestic abuse persists, urging us not to ignore this pervasive issue.

Domestic abuse doesn’t discriminate according to age, gender, nationality or ethnicity. It doesn’t take into account someone’s class, income or status. It can happen to anyone.
