Thank you for your interest in taking part in a challenge event as a member of Team Llamau!

 

At Llamau, we’re daring to imagine a world without homelessness. But to make it a reality we need your help.

 

It’s important to note that each free place we have available in challenge events like the Swansea and Cardiff Half Marathons represents an important and valuable source of fundraising for us. As a charity we make an investment to be able to offer places at events, and therefore we respectfully ask you to pledge to raise a minimum level of sponsorship in exchange for your free place.

 

If you are using a free Llamau place to participate in a race or challenge event, we ask that you raise 50% of your sponsorship target by six weeks prior to the date of the race.

 

If you haven’t reached 50% of your target by six weeks prior to the date of the race, we’ll get in touch to see how we can support you to reach your fundraising target. If you do not plan on raising any funds in exchange for your free place, we retain the right to cancel your free place.

 

If you have claimed a free place in a challenge event after the fundraising deadline, we’ll get in touch with you to discuss how we can support you to hit your fundraising target.

 

This level has been set to ensure that we can continue to spend 90p of every pound raised on direct services to end youth homelessness and homelessness for women in Wales. Thank you for playing your part in making this a reality.

 

We will give you lots of fundraising advice, hints and tips to help you smash your target. We’ll even send you a free Llamau running top to celebrate reaching the halfway mark! We’ll then continue to support you to reach your full target.
