At Llamau, our mission is to end homelessness for young people and women in Wales. We believe a home is a right, not a privilege, and one so many people are still sadly denied.

We’re working with amazing restaurants, pubs, cafes and takeaways across Wales to help end homelessness for good.

_________

For Restaurants

The idea is really simple – invite customers to Dine & Do Good. We’re asking you – our local pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways - to add a voluntary £1 donation to customers’ bills. The optional donation makes a small difference to the total bill for customers, but collectively will make a huge difference to the lives of the young people Llamau support.

We’ll provide everything you need to help you get set up with our toolkit, get your staff up to speed with the campaign and help you promote taking part in Dine & Do Good.

If you love the sound of Dine & Do Good and want to find out more or sign up to take part, please contact [email protected].

So, how does it work?

The use of electronic tills means there is very little administration involved. Most venues add a button to their till during their partnership with Dine & Do Good. Staff then add £1 (or more if the customer wishes) to the bill given to the customer. At the close of business, the till report should give a report on food, drink and a separate amount for Dine & Do Good. Just collect the total amount at the end of each month and transfer the total to Llamau. (See FAQ below for the best way to do this).

Is there a minimum commitment to taking part?

We ask that any venue commits to take part for a minimum of 1 month – but the longer the better, of course!

Where will the money we raise go?

We’re proud to spend 89p of every £1 donated to us directly on supporting young people and women.

Funds raised through the Dine & Do Good campaign would be used to help us continue to run our essential services locally.  It costs £91 to provide a safe night for a young person in one of our supported accommodation projects, so your donations really will make a huge difference to your local community.

What are the benefits for the restaurant?

Taking part in Dine & Do Good is a great way to engage and excite staff and customers alike, whilst also knowing you’re doing something amazing by being part of the solution to end homelessness in Wales. Bringing your team together with a vision and passion to support Llamau will make a real difference to your local community - it’s something the whole team can feel part of. Additional benefits include:

  • Ongoing organic social media posts throughout the duration of the campaign, across all of Llamau’s social media channels, using a #DineDoGood hashtag. We would also encourage customers to share their own photos using the campaign hashtag.
  • Each business taking part will have a post published announcing their involvement in the campaign. If businesses are happy to provide a quote/testimonial then we can also feature them as a case study on our social media
  • Marketing collateral to help you promote your participation in the campaign, as well as a toolkit to help staff understand the campaign and how to talk about it with customers

How can we promote the campaign if we get involved?

Once you have signed up you’ll receive a pack containing posters, FAQs and a short video to share with your staff about the campaign. We will also outline how to raise awareness of your involvement by including a press release template and social media hints and tips. Our dedicated fundraising team will be on hand to help you with any additional questions or support you might need while participating in the campaign.
