We want to make sure that we're able to make the best use of your donations, and so have listed the most useful items for the people we support below. If you would like to donate any items, please email [email protected] or call 029 2023 9585 and ask for the fundraising team.

We sometimes accept donations of second-hand clothes which are in good condition, clean and appropriate for the people we support, but we don't currently need clothes due to the amount of donations we receive at Christmas.

We mostly support young people aged 16-24 and women and children fleeing domestic abuse. We have limited storage facilities so if we are not able to pass clothes on to anyone we're supporting, we will use cash for clothes facilities to generate money from your donations.

Bedding and towels

We can only accept duvets, pillows, bedding and towels if they are new.

Homewares and small electrical appliances

Items such as kettles, toasters, irons and hairdryers are very useful for people moving into their own home, as well as household items which will help people to make a house a home. These should all be clean and in good condition.

Toiletries are very useful for the people we support, whether deodorant, shower gel, shampoo or sanitary items. Toiletries should be new and unused and sanitary items should be in their original packaging. We will take toiletries for both men and women.

We will accept donations of food for the people we support in its original packaging, in date and with a reasonable shelf-life.

We sometimes accept donations of second-hand toys which are in good condition and clean, but we don't currently need toys due to the amount of donations we received at Christmas.

Large Electrical Items

We will accept items such as washing machines, fridges, freezers, providing they pass a PAT Test. If you are interested in donating white goods and other large electrical items, we will arrange for a PAT Test to be completed, and if the PAT Test is passed, we will arrange for the items to be collected from you.

We will accept furniture which is clean and in good condition, but upholstered items must have labels attached which show that they meet UK safety standards. Unfortunately we aren't able to accept donations of large furniture at our offices due to a lack of storage space. If you would like to donate furniture, you should get in touch with fundraising, who will arrange for a member of our staff to collect the item from you if we are supporting someone who is in need of the item. Please be aware that this can take several days.
