Earlier this year, Llamau announced the roll out of domestic abuse programme, IRIS, as part of an exciting new partnership with social enterprise, IRISi.

The IRIS programme will help General Practitioners and other health professionals to not only identify signs of domestic abuse but also equip them with the knowledge they need to make referrals for further support.

The women behind IRIS in Gwent, supporting healthcare professionals to identify the signs of domestic and supporting the victims themselves are Sam Thomas, Tina Cooper and Santosh Kaur.

We would like to invite you to get to know them better.

The IRIS programme is already proving its worth across Gwent, with victims of domestic abuse being identified and offered support. We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead. If you'd like to find out more information about the programme, the Clinical Lead role or how to register your practice for training, please contact Project Manager, Sam Thomas.
