Welsh Government have announced the closure of schools and nurseries and have confirmed that people working in homelessness services will be considered Key Workers and may therefore be eligible for childcare through designated schools and nurseries in their area. 

As a provider of critical services, Llamau needs to ensure that we continue our critical services. We therefore need all colleagues to whom the following apply to contact their child’s school(s) to confirm that they are a Key Worker. This applies to any colleague:

• who has a school age child or children with no other options for childcare; and
• who is likely to be deployed into roles either in, or supporting, our critical services. (Please remember that you are all likely to be re-deployed into or supporting our critical services, unless you fall into a high risk group because of an underlying health condition.

If your child's school or nursery requests confirmation from your employer that you are a Key Worker, please contact your Line Manager who will be able to arrange for an authorised letter to be sent to them.
