A refuge is a safe house for women and children escaping domestic abuse. The address is confidential so that women can feel safe, while accessing emotional and practical support from support workers who understand what they have been through. 

Women often arrive at our refuges in shock. They may have been living with abuse for many months or years, and have often become isolated from friends and family. 

Support Workers in our refuges are there to support women emotionally and practically. They understand the trauma the women we support have experienced and are there to listen. The support women to consider their options and provide advice on the steps they can take to create a safe home for them and their children in future.
