Dyfed-Powys Missing Children Service

We are here to support children and young people. If you have gone missing from home, we can offer a safe, calm space to talk about what happened and what support you may need now. We are not the police but we do work closely with the police.

We are here for you

If you are thinking about going missing or leaving home, we can point you in the right direction of a person you can talk to before you feel you need to leave. You do not have to face this on your own.

You might have accessed this page because things feel difficult right now. Maybe you feel upset, angry, lonely, worried, stressed, or confused. Maybe there has been an argument at home, you feel like no one is listening, or you just need some space. Whatever is happening, your feelings matter, and there are people who want to help 💬

We will not judge

If you have gone missing from home, we will listen to you without judging. We can help you think about what happened, what might make things feel safer, and who else could support you.

If you are thinking about going missing, please reach out before you leave if you can. There are people and services who can help you feel safer and less alone 💙

Call or text any of the below numbers for support, you are not alone

You're in control

If you have returned home from a missing period we can meet you at school, at home, or somewhere else where you feel comfortable. If talking on the phone feels easier, that is okay too. We will listen, take you seriously, and will not judge you.

Together, we can think about what is going on, what you need, and what might help next.

If you want us to, and if it feels right for you, we may also be able to help you talk with your parent or carer. We can support everyone to listen to each other, understand what is happening, and find safer ways forward.

We support around 30 to 40 young people every month, so if you are finding things hard, you are definitely not alone 🌟
