Missing Children’s Services
Llamau partners with Dyfed-Powys Police to support children and young people who go missing — helping them feel safe, heard and supported to prevent it from happening again.
In Dyfed-Powys Llamau works with the police service on a preventative approach to youth homelessness through face-to-face discussions with young people who go missing. In compassionate debrief interviews Llamau's team works to understand why a young person went missing, explores risks they may have faced, and offers tailored support for them and their family. Family mediation helps rebuild trust and reduce repeat incidents.
Support also includes helping young people recognise and navigate risks such as child sexual exploitation (CSE) and child criminal exploitation (CCE), while sharing intelligence to protect others.
By working closely with police, social services, schools and safeguarding teams, Llamau ensures the right information is shared to keep young people safe.
No child or young person should feel unsafe or unheard. Through partnership and prevention, Llamau helps create safer communities where every young person can thrive.
