Family Mediation and Advice Services
Family conflict is one of the leading causes of youth homelessness. Llamau’s family mediation and advice service brings families together to resolve conflict, rebuild relationships and create safer, more stable homes.
Skilled mediators work with everyone in the household to identify the root causes of tension, encourage understanding, and provide practical tools to help families communicate and live together more positively.
The impact is life-changing. Young people supported through mediation avoid the risk of homelessness and often benefit from stronger family connections and improved wellbeing. In 2023-24, 80% of young people supported by Llamau’s mediation service safely remained in or returned to their family home.
