Welcome and Admin Support Volunteer
Support our Barry office with a warm welcome and assist in admin tasks.
What’s Involved
Act as a first point of contact, offering a friendly and non-judgmental welcome to all visitors.
Help in the reception area, ensuring it remains a safe and tidy environment.
Answer telephone inquiries, taking accurate messages or transferring calls to the relevant staff members.
Assist the team with general clerical duties including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Help maintain office supplies and organise incoming/outgoing mail.
Update information boards and ensure that physical resources (leaflets/forms) are up to date.
Provide basic information about Llamau’s services to young people who walk in.
Under the guidance of staff, help signpost individuals to local community resources, food banks, or other partner agencies in the Vale.
Time Commitment
Flexible hours
Ideally 1 to 2 mornings/afternoons a week at our Barry office (236 Holton Road, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. CF63 4HS)
What You’ll Need
Friendly, approachable, and confident when interacting with the public
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Good teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required
Willingness to help with a variety of tasks in a busy environment
Basic IT skills are desirable
No previous experience required – full guidance will be provided

Two professional or character references
Adherence to our Volunteering Code of Conduct
Understanding of Llamau’s mission
Completion of relevant training for the volunteer role
DBS check
You must be over 18
