For most people, home is a place of safety, love and support. But for too many LGBTQ+ young people, it’s a place of rejection, hostility, and pressure to hide many aspects of themselves to stay safe.

Coming out should never cost someone their family, but far too often it leaves young people with no choice but to leave and face homelessness.

A safe home is more than a bed

We believe in offering young people tailored, affirming, and inclusive housing and support, including Wales’s first LGBTQ+ 24 hour supported housing project for homeless young people, Tŷ Pride.

100% of the young people said that moving into Tŷ Pride has saved their lives.

Rhiannon's Story

When Rhiannon arrived at Tŷ Pride in March 2021, she was 20 years old and facing homelessness. Her family’s struggle to accept her gender identity had left her without a safe place to stay.
